Ashes

Today is Ash Wednesday. The beginning of intentional time set aside to remember.

Remember what we believe.

Remember where we have came from.

Remember where we are going.

"Yet even now, says the Lord,
Return to me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing."

Give me 40 days to sift and sort. 40 days to bleed. 40 days to reconcile. 40 days to forgive. And 40 days to be heal.
